Let’s face it. Steve and I are constantly talking about moving somewhere rural to live in a house with a wrap around porch and a big ass yard. So, it was just a matter of time that we end up in the suburbs. I think 9 years of city living is good enough unless we are back in Chicago, then I will gladly prolong my soccer mom, suburban life until we have little SHwangs. But three years of Baltimore city living? Sorry, peace out Charm City. Chicago stole my heart, and you don’t even compare.
About three months ago, Steve and I made the decision to move out of the city and take a stab at the suburban life. I know, I know, we don’t have kids, and we are still young, sort of. But to be completely honest, we wanted the peace and the quiet. (Wait, is this what getting old feels like?) PLUS, we bought our first car! Having a car gave us the flexibility to live farther away from the city. Or, we just wanted to drive our brand new car everywhere 😉 I mean, buying a car is a HUGE deal for us, such a grown up thing to do! It is the most expensive single expense we’ve ever spent in our entire lives. Not to mention, it is our first asset we own together!
So, suburban life is happening y’all, and we love it! Because look! We have trees, lots of it! AND, did you know that living in a county means you receive coupon booklets in the mail?? Snip, snip. Yes, I’m that person.
